Glenn M. Ihde is a board certified general surgeon practicing advanced endo-laparoscopic procedures and is based in Bay City, Texas. Dr. Ihde completed a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska the obtained his medical degree from the University of Kansas – Kansas City. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Kansas – Wichita where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). Dr. Ihde’s practice interests include therapeutic endoscopy, advanced laparoscopy and bariatric surgery. Dr. Ihde served as President of the Texas Association for Bariatric Surgery from 2012 to 2012. Dr. Ihde has been involved in endoluminal therapies since 2009 and has published and spoken on transoral incisionless fundoplication since 2011. He authored the first publication on combining laparoscopic hiatal hernia repair with transoral incisionless fundoplication and to date he has performed over 700 TIF procedures.
